Abstract

This present article analyzes digital child labor in Brazil, taking as a reference the case of the influencer Hytalo Santos, in the light of the principle of integral protection of children and adolescents. The research, of a qualitative and descriptive nature, is based on bibliographic review and documentary analysis. It is verified that, despite the guarantees established by the Federal Constitution and the Statute of the Child and Adolescent (ECA), there are still gaps in the regulation of child labor on digital platforms, which favor the exploitation and premature exposure of minors. The study highlights the importance of public policies and specific legislation that address the digital reality, ensuring that the virtual environment is a space of safe expression rather than one of rights violations. It concludes that the effectiveness of integral protection depends on the joint action of the family, society, the State, and digital platforms, so that childhood is not commercialized in the name of entertainment.
