The violence between fans in brazilian football
Abstract
This paper addresses the issue of fan violence in Brazilian soccer, a phenomenon that occurs in different parts of the world, characterized by physical confrontations, vandalism and aggression between organized groups of fans. These conflicts generally occur inside and outside stadiums, before, during and after matches, motivated by historical rivalries, exacerbated passion for the club, territorial issues and, often, the influence of social factors such as inequality and marginalization. In addition, to compromising the safety of spectators and the integrity of the sport, violence between fans negatively affects the image of soccer, requiring preventive and repressive measures on the part of authorities and sporting entities to promote a safer and more peaceful environment at sporting events.
