VIOLATION OF THE RIGHT TO LIFE IN RELATION TO SUICIDE ATTEMPTS IN BRAZIL

Abstract

This scientific article exposes the most common public health problems in contemporary times, suicide, which must be combated by the State, family members, the community and the person's own wishes, through public policies. In the Federal Constitution of 1988, it establishes the fundamental right to life, which is violated due to the crime of suicide. In this way, the theme in question is justified by its social and legal relevance, due to the high incidence of this institute. Addressing the history of suicide, fundamental rights provided for in legislation, fundamental rights in legislation and the inviolability of the right to life, and suicide, legislation and public policies. In conclusion, bibliographical research was used for the preparation, through books, scientific articles, doctrines, jurisprudence and legislation.
