Abstract

The aim of the article is to analyze crimes against honor in the area of virtual crimes, which increasingly occur in the community, crimes against anyone, in addition to which some commit without knowing that they are crimes, for example, sharing fake news, today, also alludes that virtual crimes are confused with the freedom of expression listed in the Federal Constitution. Therefore, it is justified because it deals with a common and constantly evolving topic in society, as well as discussing recent and divergent opinions, based on positions that will serve as guidance and guidance for readers. The article discusses the concept of digital crime in Brazil, identification of crimes against honor committed in the virtual environment and the limits of freedom of expression, and analysis of virtual crimes in the Brazilian legal system and court judgments. In summary, developed through bibliographical research, supported by books, scientific articles, doctrines, jurisdictions, legislation.
