The objective of this research is to show the importance of controllership and how it can serve as support to assist and improve company management, integrating it into decision-making processes and risk management. Currently, it plays a fundamental role in companies, providing management support for making more informed decisions, aligning business operations with the company's objectives and goals and assisting in risk management. The controller is the professional who plays this role, supervises financial and accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy of financial data and compliance with legal standards and regulations, prepares budgets, plans, executes and monitors everything in the company, is a key point in a company's financial governance structure. Therefore, controllership is an extremely important tool for companies, it helps managers, provides support for the decision-making process, promotes the company's continuity and growth in the market and obtains positive results. The methodology used combined bibliographic review, quantitative research and qualitative research, which were carried out in books and on the internet.
