green ox
Abstract
The green ox refers to the creation of beef cattle focused on feeding only with pasture in order to promote greater optimization of production and adaptation to sustainable protocols for management and consumption. In view of this, the need arose to understand the socioenvironmental aspects linked to the creation of this type of cattle, outlining the objective of exposing the criteria and strategies of the practice of green cattle, the consumption of beef in Brazil during the last ten years. and the importance of sustainable practices in the agricultural sector. It is an exploratory research, which aims to provide the researcher with greater knowledge about the topic or research problem in perspective. The development of the work was based on the analysis of the Theoretical Reference present in the current literature following the theme "Green cattle". The results revealed that the last decade was marked by Brazil's leadership in the export market, mainly because most rural producers use pasture, native or cultivated, in raising livestock, which directly interferes with the reduction of methane emitted into the atmosphere by cattle. and in water consumption, providing higher quality meat and value in the import market. Thus, it is concluded that simple strategies for adapting the lives of these animals have the ability to generate great results and add positive impacts on the country's economy and the environment.
